Our History

There has been Coptic Orthodox services running in the West of Scotland for around 40 years. Throughtout these years , we rented several church buildings. However , by the grace of God , we bought our own church in 2013 . The first Liturgy in our permanent location was prayed on Saturday 24th August 2013 and it was attended by His Grace Bishop Antony and His Grace Bishop Karas , Father Mark as well as a large number of our congregation and congregation members of the previous church owners. Since then , God's hand has continued to work mightily with us and we underwent numerous projects such as assembling the iconistasis and icons , installation of a new heating system , installation of IT features such as a new sound system and projectors and gardening work.

Our church congregation is diverse and multi cultural , serving people from Egypt , Sudan , Eritrea , Iraq ,Syria and Germany .

A typical day consists of a Liturgy in the morning followed by a meal together then Sunday school and Bible study.
